Requirements for Statistics Graduate Minors

  • There is no formal application for the Graduate Statistics minor.
  • You must obtain a 3.2 GPA for all minor courses and the course requirements are outlined below.
  • You must choose and contact a Statistics Faculty member to be on your minor committee.
  • Once a committee member is chosen, contact your home department advisor to add the minor to your degree plan.
  • It is your responsibility to contact a Statistics Faculty member for your minor committee.

Enforcement of the requirements are the responsibility of the Statistics faculty member on the student’s committee. Judgment will be used in each situation. For example, a MS minor who takes STA 6207-08 should not be allowed to take STA 4210-11 as electives. Also, If you wish to use a course for an elective that is not  listed below, you must receive permission from your Statistics committee member.

**Please note that the masters minor is for students enrolled in a masters program and the PhD minor is for students enrolled in a PhD program. **
